Glenegedale House is a dream come true! The property is stunning and Emma and Graeme were wonderful hosts. Each room is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated which made our stay feel so special. We enjoyed two breakfasts and one set menu dinner which use local produce and all were worthy of a Michelin star! Graeme and Emma’s experience in hospitality was so evident in their professionalism and kindness.
We recently stayed at Glenegedale House for the second time and are already planning our next visit. This place offers one of the best experiences I've had in many years of travel. Hosts Emma and Graeme provide exceptional hospitality, with high-quality food and very comfortable rooms. The seafood dishes and breakfast porridge were unforgettable, and the views of Islay are stunning. Their attention to detail and helpful recommendations made our stay even more enjoyable. It feels like visiting family. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience Islay for the first time or up their game while visiting the island.
I had the time of my life staying here. It was truly a 5-star experience that felt hospitable and luxurious at the same time. Emma and Graeme are both tremendous chefs and remarkable hosts. They were helpful and kind, welcoming and flexible. The accommodations were just stunning. You really don’t want to miss an opportunity to dine here or stay here. (Especially don’t skip the porridge at breakfast!!!)
We returned to Glenegedale House this year after a spectacular stay last year and can’t imagine staying anywhere else on Islay. Emma and Graeme know how to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable, from responsive communication across our interactions to spotless, cozy accommodations. They are attentive and friendly. The meals are thoughtfully crafted from the freshest local ingredients with plenty of options that are authentic and all made to order with care. Emma’s oatcakes are unlike any you’ll find - simply outstanding! When one of us wasn’t feeling well, Graeme went out of his way to create a meal that worked. The warmth and hospitality of Glenegedale House are unmatched. This is a top notch travel experience and we’ll be back.

This place is amazing. Emma and Graeme are great hosts - funny, knowledgeable, and most of all, very accommodating. The property is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the interior of the house is stunning. We had some travel troubles due to the weather but Emma was very good about communicating and providing advice. Thank you Emma and Graeme for a great experience on Islay.
This was our favorite place to stay in all of Scotland. Graeme and Emma were incredibly hospitable, helpful, and thought of every little thing! We will be coming back to stay with them!
Graeme and Emma are wonderful hosts and we felt well taken after. We had to extend our stay and were able to book one night with them very last minute and it turned out to be a highlight of our trip to Islay. Beautiful accommodations and the food was incredible!
